About Our Treasure Island Resort

Since 1957, Thunderbird Beach Resort has been a family favorite in Treasure Island, Florida. Our classic courtyard-style beach resort has been the site of wonderful memories for family vacations, romantic getaways and Treasure Island locals just looking to escape for a weekend. In fact, many guests tell us that as children, they would look for the "giant Thunderbird sign" during their family’s drive from the St. Petersburg mainland to Treasure Island Beach. Today they return to our beach resort as adults year after year with their own families. We know them all by name and we remember their stories. And they still look for our giant, retro neon sign.
